The role is for a staff member in the Government & Public Sector - Financial Accounting Advisory Services team at EY. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline.
  • Four years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience with Federal US GAAP.
  • Pursuing a CPA certification.
  • Experience with preparation or auditing of Federal financial statements, operations research, advanced data analytics, exploratory data mining, and data visualization.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • A deep understanding of Federal financial management objectives and commonly used terminology, processes, and tools.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients.
  • Consult with clients on data integrity and improve data quality.
  • Engage clients and provide authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions.
  • Develop knowledge of current market trends and share insights to mentor junior colleagues.
  • Understand clients' unique ambitions and refer them to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships.
