Qualcomm is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Camera Engineering team, focusing on power optimization for next-generation SOCs. The role involves developing innovative hardware and systems architecture while ensuring power efficiency. Candidates will work closely with hardware and software design teams throughout various design stages. A strong background in electrical systems and low power design is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Systems Engineering and Digital Logic Design.
- Understanding of HW micro-architecture of digital systems and ASIC implementation flow.
- Knowledge of low power design at the system and core level.
- Experience with video encoder/decoder systems and architecture.
- Experience with camera systems and architecture.
- Experience in power modeling, verification, and simulation tools.
- Experience with high level synthesis tools and flow.
Responsibilities
- Prototype and analyze power optimization features and waveforms.
- Develop novel power optimized multi-media hardware and systems architecture.
- Implement models for power projections, validation, and architectural trade-off analysis.
- Establish use-case and hardware core power targets.
- Collaborate with hardware and software design teams to implement and validate power features.
