Job description
The Product Engineer role at KLA focuses on maintaining and improving the reliability of eBeam demo lab Scanning Electron Microscope systems. Although there is no current opening, KLA is building a talent community for future opportunities. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting complex optical and mechanical equipment while collaborating with engineering and applications teams. Candidates will engage in hands-on work and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art semiconductor inspection products.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with handling equipment such as Electron Microscopy, X-Ray based material characterization, Optical Microscopy, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with operating equipment that utilizes Vacuum technology.
- Knowledge of Power Engineering and Control systems is preferred.
- Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years of related work experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and drive reliability improvements of eBeam demo lab Scanning Electron Microscope systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug sophisticated optical, electro, and mechanical equipment.
- Support systems and applications characterization of semiconductor wafer inspection products.
- Design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, and publish results and recommendations.
- Engage with engineering functional teams and host meetings to resolve technical issues.
- Generate documentation relevant for troubleshooting processes and technical findings.
- Help define and optimize the Preventative Maintenance Schedule for eBeam Demo lab systems.
