Citi's Equity Research team is seeking a Senior Associate to support the lead analyst in the Consumer Credit sector. This role involves contributing to high-quality investment insights for institutional clients globally. The position emphasizes deep sector analysis, AI-driven research methods, and direct client engagement. The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in shaping research publications and financial models while mentoring junior team members.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in sell-side equity research with a focus on Consumer Credit or a closely aligned sector.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex financial models with a strong command of accounting principles and valuation frameworks.
• Experience supporting senior research analysts, including preparation of research materials and client-facing communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, compelling research narratives.
• Active holding of, or eligibility to obtain, SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 licenses.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately under time-sensitive conditions.

• Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models for the Consumer Credit sector companies.
• Draft and co-author equity research publications including earnings previews and recaps.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients regarding Consumer Credit sector developments.
• Coordinate and support investor events including management meetings and company field trips.
• Apply AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance research workflows and improve published outputs.
• Mentor and support junior team members to contribute to a high-performing research environment.
• Evaluate business and investment decisions with sound judgement while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
