The Reliability Engineer role at Amazon's Global Reliability Team focuses on developing predictive maintenance technology for a large fulfillment network. The engineer will work with condition monitoring technologies to prevent equipment failures and improve maintenance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
- 3+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, and auditing maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, throughput, or quality.
- Experience working with CMMS software.
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions.
- Experience in project/program management.
- Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
Responsibilities
- Lead condition monitoring technology deployments and evaluations across multiple fulfillment and sort sites.
- Synthesize sensor, platform, and equipment data into actionable findings.
- Diagnose issues within complex multi-technology systems using structured root cause analysis tools.
- Define project KPIs and deliverables while tracking timelines and milestones.
- Partner directly with equipment manufacturers and field reliability stakeholders.
- Work backwards from maintenance and reliability customer needs to define the correct solution path.
- Present project status, findings, and recommendations to program leadership.
- Identify and optimize operational processes and document improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and work reviews for junior team members.
