Job description

Fidelity is seeking an experienced architect to lead a team of data architects within the Asset Management Technology’s architecture team. This role involves setting the architectural direction for AI-ready platforms and establishing governance frameworks to ensure excellence in data management. The architect will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into actionable plans while building a high-performing team. The focus is on driving technical strategy across critical functions that support a significant asset base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop architects and senior engineers.
  • Executive-level communication skills to present to senior audiences and build consensus.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and modern data programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Java.
  • Deep experience with modern data engineering toolchains and cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evangelize data architecture strategy across Asset Management Technology.
  • Lead architecture governance and standards for data platforms.
  • Drive cross-functional data initiatives as a senior technical leader.
  • Build and develop high-performing data architecture teams.
  • Architect and deliver high-impact solutions for complex data challenges.
