The Software Development Engineer will develop advanced machine learning algorithms for robots operating in human environments. This role focuses on creating and optimizing motor control strategies to enhance robot interactions with their surroundings. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Prior work experience with robotics and/or a deep understanding of robotic subsystems such as computer vision, signal processing, or motor control
• Experience with physics-based simulation tools
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, or a related field is preferred
• Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or other AI techniques applied to robotic motor control
• Familiarity with hardware constraints and actuator dynamics for robotic platforms

• Develop techniques and infrastructure that enable deployment of robotic systems on real robots
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate various systems with robotic hardware
• Use simulation and real-world testing to refine and validate robot systems
