Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Silicon Reliability Engineer to leverage cutting-edge technologies for high-performance product delivery while ensuring reliability. The role involves collaboration with wafer foundries and various functional groups to develop process reliability requirements. The engineer will assess wearout reliability and provide guidance for design improvements. This position is critical in optimizing product reliability performance and involves extensive interaction with foundries.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of cutting-edge semiconductor process technologies and reliability physics.
  • Familiarity with wearout failure mechanisms and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in reliability statistics and hands-on experience in failure rate calculations.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor process defects and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of reliability degradation mechanisms in logic and memory circuits.
  • Hands-on skills in reliability data analysis using statistical tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related major, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of overall experience in semiconductor reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with wafer foundries and functional groups to develop process reliability requirements.
  • Drive foundries for test vehicle qualifications and process reliability improvements.
  • Perform wearout reliability assessments and provide reliability guidance to design teams.
  • Provide reliability Vmax and aging guardband guidelines to product teams.
  • Collaborate with foundries to plan and perform stress tests and build reliability models.
  • Interact with foundries for excursion materials and assess reliability risks.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
