The Wireless Control Systems Engineer will join Apple's cellular systems engineering team to define and build the next generation of cellular technology, focusing on 6G advancements. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of cellular modem systems, from feature design to productization. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure system requirements are met and will leverage deep technical knowledge to enhance user experience. • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in Layer 1 control design.
• Strong knowledge of cellular communication standards: 6G, 5G NR, and 4G LTE.
• Deep expertise in communication system theory and signal processing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm development.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and LLM-based tools.
• Experience in low-power algorithm design for mobile platforms.
• Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra and stochastic processes.

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of cellular modem systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with SoC, PHY, PHY HW, PHY FW, and L1 SW teams.
• Deliver leading-edge performance and power optimizations.
• Conduct hands-on silicon bring-up using lab equipment.
• Perform end-to-end timeline analysis for latency-critical PHY processing chains.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary enhancements to improve user experience.
