The Senior Research Scientist role focuses on implementing quantum computers using neutral-atom-based quantum processors. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand electronic control requirements and architect control electronics that meet these needs. The position involves managing both smaller projects independently and collaborating on larger projects with colleagues and vendors. The goal is to drive innovation in quantum computing and contribute to the wider research community through sharing findings.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design.
• 3 years of experience designing printed circuit boards for analog or mixed-signal applications.
• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Experience designing and building electronic quantum control systems for neutral atoms or trapped ion quantum computers is preferred.

• Support the deployment of electronics to quantum computers.
• Drive ambiguous board-level projects of medium complexity from concept to production and deployment.
• Work with a cross-functional team to evaluate control system requirements and develop board-level solutions.
• Own board and system-level design of custom electronic systems for the control of neutral atom quantum processors.
• Lead the test and bring-up of developed electronics and support their use in experimental systems.
