Job description
Apple is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of silicon validation test solutions. This role involves end-to-end mechanical development of electromechanical systems, focusing on high power applications. The engineer will collaborate with various Apple engineering teams and contribute to innovative product designs. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent study.
- 10+ years of hands-on product design experience in electronic products or modules.
- 5+ years of experience in 3D CAD.
- Experience designing heat sinks and cooling solutions for high power ASICs.
- 3+ years of experience designing liquid cooled board assemblies and systems.
- 3+ years of experience in data center products and understanding of EIA Rack Standards and OCP standards.
- MSME degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define mechanical requirements and interfaces for high power electromechanical systems.
- Conduct cross-functional design reviews and generate mechanical requirement documents.
- Design board and system level mechanical assemblies and generate drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Perform dimensional and tolerance analysis.
- Manage and track multiple priorities within schedule requirements.
- Drive failure analyses and design of experiments to reach design solutions and corrective actions.
