Job description

The Core Audio System Software engineer will develop and debug audio system software for all of Apple's platforms. This role is part of the Media, Graphics & Compute Tech group, focusing on enhancing audio experiences across various applications like FaceTime and Siri. The engineer will work closely with hardware driver teams and integrate audio features with connected accessories. The position requires a passion for building audio products that improve user experience for millions of customers.

Requirements

  • Excellent software design and programming skills in C++
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies and multi-threaded programming
  • Experience with digital audio programming and strong debugging skills
  • At least two years of experience working in a software development environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with Bluetooth accessories is a plus
  • Experience with embedded audio in devices like smartphones or tablets is a plus
  • Experience with core software features like Telephony audio and/or Bluetooth audio is a plus
