Job description

The candidate will join a close-knit team at Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. focused on the system design, implementation, and verification of RF transceiver products for advanced wireless technologies. This role involves collaboration with IC design, modem, and software teams throughout the RF product development lifecycle. The candidate will engage in architecture, specification, simulation, design verification, and testing, ensuring that implementations meet system requirements. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in RF systems and a passion for innovative wireless technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the design and development of RF products and systems
  • Expertise in communication theory, signal processing, probability, and random processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MATLAB programming
  • Experience with wireless systems and industry standards such as WLAN, Bluetooth, UWB, and cellular technologies (4G/5G) is highly desirable
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop signal processing techniques to receive and transmit wireless signals
  • Conduct analysis and simulations using MATLAB, ADS, or similar tools to study system architecture and performance under various conditions
  • Develop system-level specifications for RF circuits and systems
  • Work closely with IC designers and software developers to ensure implementations meet system requirements
  • Drive resolution across organizational boundaries and take end-to-end ownership of technical challenges
