The Software Engineer II role within the Cloud & AI organization at Microsoft focuses on enhancing the security of the MSRC tooling and operations. The team aims to transform the vulnerability management ecosystem into a unified and resilient platform by implementing advanced security controls. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

• Design, build, and operate distributed services and microservices on Azure.
• Own features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and live-site support.
• Integrate AI capabilities such as natural language processing and intelligent agents using frameworks like Azure OpenAI.
• Drive performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency through telemetry and system profiling.
• Ensure robust data validation and compliance with privacy and security standards.
• Collaborate across disciplines to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to investigate and resolve live-site incidents.
• Contribute to our DevOps culture through CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
