The Performance Engineer will join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization, contributing to the optimization of software design for Apple's latest products such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This role involves working closely with the Connectivity Firmware Performance team on software design testing and optimization from early prototypes to productization. The engineer will devise performance evaluation methodologies and analyze logs to make recommendations based on trade-off analysis. A strong background in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications is essential for success in this position.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers.
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using data science libraries.
• Experience with power and performance trade-off analysis.
• Strong understanding of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, or related protocols.
• Research or work experience in using AI/ML towards wireless problems.
• A Master's or PhD or equivalent experience is preferred.
