Apple is seeking a SerDes Design and Validation Engineer to lead the system validation of mixed-signal SerDes IP. This role involves designing, integrating, and validating high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for SerDes PHY applications. The engineer will work on critical building blocks and develop analog DFT circuits essential for comprehensive PHY validation. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience in high-speed serial links and knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols such as PCIe, USB, DP, and MPHY.
• Solid understanding of designing analog mixed-signal circuit blocks including Bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits, ADCs, DACs, oscillators, and filters.
• Hands-on experience in lab and production testing, debugging, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits, including CTLE, DFE, and de-emphasis.

• Own the SerDes system bring-up, validation, and debug processes.
• Verify basic operations and analyze robustness and margins in the system environment.
• Collaborate with design teams to understand architecture and define DFT needs.
• Engage in mixed-signal verification tasks to understand SerDes operation and interaction with higher-level control logic.
• Drive lab and production testing, debug, and data analysis.
