The Data Center Electrical Engineer role at Google focuses on overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems within data centers. Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of utility electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience in electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Define data center system-level product architecture and develop operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and research designs for data center equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure designs and installations meet operational and structural requirements.
  • Collaborate with core teams to manage electrical designs from basis of design to issued for construction documents.
  • Oversee site-level electrical system issues throughout project execution and resolve issues with cross-functional teams.
