The Analyst position within the Engineering CFO team focuses on supporting financial planning, investment governance, and strategic decision-making for the Engineering Division. This role is integral to the firm's Zero-Based Budgeting process, ensuring transparency and effective resource allocation. The team collaborates closely with Engineering leadership and senior finance professionals to deliver financial analysis and data-driven recommendations. Candidates will gain exposure to the firm's technology strategy and financial management processes while developing their analytical and project management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Business Analytics, or a related analytical function.
- Strong financial and analytical foundation with the ability to interpret and communicate business insights from data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with enterprise planning and analytics platforms such as Anaplan, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Interest in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data-driven business transformation.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual budget planning process and quarterly forecasting cycles across Engineering divisions.
- Help execute the firm's Zero-Based Budgeting process, including data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with Engineering COO teams and business stakeholders to support financial reviews and investment planning discussions.
- Identify opportunities to improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes through automation and process optimization.
- Support preparation of presentations and materials for senior management reviews.
