Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer with at least 2 years of project design experience to join their team. This role involves tackling complex structural challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various sectors. The engineer will contribute to innovative design solutions while working closely with clients and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of recent relevant structural engineering project experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Engineer in Training certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative
  • Working knowledge of USA National codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC
  • Understanding of and experience with Revit software
  • Effective communication skills - oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools
  • Perform technical work with senior review
  • Collaborate directly with various engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle
  • Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Assist with Construction Administration duties, including completing field observation reports and responding to RFIs
  • Travel as needed for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits
