Job description
In this role, you will design and architect next-generation High Performance Computing platforms that support semiconductor manufacturing and AI workloads. You will be part of KLA's Measurement, Analytics and Control group, which focuses on innovating technologies to control complex process variations in semiconductor manufacturing. The position requires leading architecture decisions across various domains including software, hardware, and cloud-integrated HPC infrastructure. You will also provide technical leadership and mentor engineers while defining the HPC platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of experience.
- Expert knowledge of Linux distributions such as RHEL, Rocky, AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
- Experience with HPC technologies including SGE, SLURM, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed computing architectures and GPU workload scheduling.
- Proficiency in software development using Python, C++, and Bash.
Responsibilities
- Define architecture for enterprise-scale HPC clusters.
- Develop compute, network, storage, and virtualization strategies.
- Lead platform scalability planning from tens to thousands of cores.
- Design distributed software services supporting HPC infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership across software, systems, manufacturing, operations, and field organizations.
