Job description

NVIDIA is seeking Architects, Functional Modeling Engineers, and Simulation experts to join its Architecture Modeling group. The team focuses on enabling functional simulation platforms across GPU generations, working collaboratively with world-class architects. This role involves modeling GPU architecture and developing tools for analysis and simulation. Candidates will also guide improvements in simulation platforms to support future GPU architectures.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in related areas.
  • Proficient programming skills in C++, C, and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Solid background in Computer Architecture with experience in modeling, preferably System C & TLM.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangChain.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a track record of driving issues to closure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully in a distributed team environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Model GPU architecture, baseboard components, and other features.
  • Work in a matrixed environment across different modeling teams to document, design, and develop tools for analysis and simulation.
  • Familiarize with different functional and performance simulation models across NVIDIA and work through modeling features.
  • Develop tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure for new architectures and features.
  • Guide the improvement of the simulation platform and expand resources to support future GPU architectures.
  • Develop or use AI to assist with day-to-day tasks.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
