As a Product Lifecycle Engineer at AWS, you will provide electrical infrastructure support specifically within the medium voltage switchgear and transformer product category. You will collaborate with product development teams to understand and oversee the operational life of electrical products deployed in data centers. This role involves working with global suppliers and manufacturers to enhance product reliability and availability. You will be part of a diverse team focused on continuous improvement and innovation in electrical distribution products and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
- Experience in commissioning electrical systems
- Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical equipment related to data center operations
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience in carrying design concepts through development and into deployment
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings and specifications
Responsibilities
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals
- Work with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers
- Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders across the organization
- Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographic zones
- Understand and explain complex electrical systems in clear language
- Provide support to Field Engineering for root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Listen to customer feedback to identify improvements for product reliability
- Collaborate with global suppliers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analysis
- Contribute to the global body of knowledge and drive continuous improvement initiatives
