As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, focusing on design, maintenance, and operational issues. You will collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure the reliability of services delivered. This role requires strong engineering judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects across geographical regions. You will also engage in audits and act as a resident engineer during new construction projects.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment related to data centers.

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex operating procedure reviews.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS’s data centers.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects.
