Amazon is looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer to manage site and factory layout for manufacturing operations. This role involves designing and optimizing manufacturing facilities by integrating various systems into efficient layouts. • Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• 7+ years of experience in site/factory layout planning, industrial engineering, or manufacturing systems
• Experience in large-scale manufacturing environments such as automotive or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of site planning, material flow, and facility design principles
• Proficiency with layout tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 2D/3D design software
• Experience with simulation tools for factory and logistics modeling
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders from the shop floor to executive leadership

• Lead factory layout design across manufacturing lines and support spaces
• Develop long-term site master plans for capacity expansion
• Define and implement layout governance and standards
• Create and maintain block layouts and detailed 2D/3D layouts
• Design and optimize end-to-end material flow including inbound and outbound logistics
• Own overall site layout including building placement and infrastructure planning
• Optimize dock utilization and transportation interfaces for logistics efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align on layout requirements
• Perform data-driven analysis to optimize space utilization and flow efficiency
• Develop and integrate Plan for Every Part into layout decisions
• Define and track layout performance metrics
• Support capacity planning and modeling using OEE and cycle-time analysis
• Drive factory densification initiatives to improve layout efficiency
• Support installation and layout validation during site construction
• Translate complex layout data into clear insights for strategic decisions
