·FY 2025Job description
This role is focused on silicon speed characterization within NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group, where architecture intent is transformed into silicon reality. The team is responsible for ensuring that silicon performance meets design specifications, particularly in terms of frequency and timing. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between simulation and silicon, providing critical data that informs architectural and design decisions. This position requires a blend of circuit design thinking, experimental work, and data analysis skills.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, post-silicon speed validation, frequency characterization, or timing analysis on real hardware.
- Strong fundamentals in computer architecture, including pipeline structures, clocking, and memory hierarchies.
- Depth in static timing analysis and critical path identification, with the ability to interpret timing reports.
- Proficiency in silicon margining, guard-banding, and PVT/binning dependencies.
- Scripting experience in Python, Perl, or C/C++.
Responsibilities
- Own silicon speed characterization from first power-on through production sign-off.
- Close the correlation gap between pre-silicon timing analysis and measured silicon.
- Trace failures to their source and drive resolution for identified issues.
- Build AI agents for automated test orchestration and intelligent data pipelines.
- Provide data-driven analysis that informs architectural and design decisions.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
