The Senior Datacenter Engineer at Google focuses on defining system-level architecture and product strategy for next-generation data centers. The engineer will also implement process improvements for critical infrastructure projects to enhance operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in Datacenter Engineering-related occupations.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Datacenter Engineering-related occupation.
• 3 years of experience in data center architecture and system design.
• Experience applying engineering tools and analytical methods to verify system design.
• Experience in implementing Controls engineering, including control system programming.

• Define system-level architecture and product strategy for next-generation data centers.
• Conduct engineering analysis and research innovative designs for data center equipment and facilities.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers in the region and the overall Google Data Centers program.
• Develop and document standard operating and maintenance procedures for critical systems.
• Collaborate with Operations teams and engineers for retrofits and critical issues' resolution.
• Implement process improvements across critical infrastructure projects to boost operational efficiency.
• Validate that all designs and installations meet specified cooling, structural, and performance requirements.
• Apply controls engineering principles to design and implement automated mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and program design engineers for all modifications and design changes on projects.
• Travel regionally at least 50% of the time to various unanticipated worksites.
