Job description

We are looking for a Senior Site Quality Engineer to join our team in Columbus, IN, focusing on quality assurance and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. The role requires strong leadership skills to mentor team members and drive engagement while ensuring adherence to industry standards. You will be responsible for building customer relationships and delivering solutions that meet their needs. The position demands expertise in quality tools and statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • IATF Internal Auditor Certification is required.
  • VDA knowledge is required.
  • Core Tools knowledge (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) is required.
  • GD&T proficiency is required.
  • 6S knowledge is desired.
  • Welding knowledge is desired.
  • Intermediate level of experience, preferably 3-5 years in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Program Management in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience is required.
  • A college, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or equivalent experience is required.

  • Analyze measurement systems to identify uncertainty sources and strengthen metrology practices.
  • Use systematic, data-driven methods to resolve complex problems and mentor others in effective problem-solving.
  • Inspire others by articulating a compelling vision and managing projects effectively.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for customer and supplier concerns and ensure accountability to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and coordinate customer visits as needed.
