Job description

This role focuses on supporting issue identification, analysis, remediation, and monitoring within the operational risk management framework across Wealth Management. The position involves collaboration with various business units to enhance controls and resolve operational inconsistencies. The candidate will analyze business risks and deficiencies while developing executive reporting and data-driven deliverables. A critical thinker with strong analytical skills is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or a related field
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a role in financial services with operational risk exposure or audit or broader risk management
  • Exposure to financial services, operational risk, audit or risk management is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in risk analysis and management and/or an understanding of regulations and regulatory reform is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expert level proficiency in the Microsoft tool suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of issue identification, analysis, remediation and monitoring & reporting.
  • Analyze potential business risks, process deficiencies, and gaps in risk management standards.
  • Support the development of process and controls environment across asset management, wealth management and consumer businesses.
  • Document existing controls and identify control gaps through process deep dives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational inconsistencies.
  • Develop executive reporting and other data-driven deliverables.
  • Gather and synthesize data to perform root cause analysis and determine thematic trends.
  • Pro-actively seek out areas to add value.
