Job description

Citi is seeking an experienced KDB+ developer to join the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team. This senior role focuses on building and supporting the strategic analytics backbone for the Equities Electronic Trading product. The developer will lead the design, development, and delivery of high frequency and low latency systems on the KDB+ platform. Collaboration with various teams and alignment with global strategy are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of KDB+ technology and Q language with at least 5+ years of professional experience in KDB+.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis role.
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol and experience in handling order and market datasets.
  • Practical experience with KDB+ application scaling, load-balancing, high-availability architectures, large dataset development, and query performance optimization.
  • Preferred background in Markets Electronic Trading or Market Making domains.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain business-critical high frequency and low latency systems on the KDB+ platform.
  • Build and maintain platforms that enable data management, analytics generation, and trading.
  • Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deploy new products.
  • Resolve high impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
  • Leverage Citi's suite of AI-powered development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
