The Software Development Engineer will join the Production Engineering team responsible for maintaining critical developer tools for a large user base. The role focuses on ensuring seamless, reliable, and secure experiences for developers. The engineer will work on building observability systems and automated solutions to enhance operational health. This position involves making high-judgment decisions and working across the full stack to prevent production issues.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Own the operational health of production services end-to-end
• Build real-time observability systems to detect problems proactively
• Develop agentic solutions that resolve issues without human intervention
• Respond to security incidents affecting real users
• Burn down complex service debt and build intelligent tooling for operational excellence
• Make high-judgment calls regarding service maintenance and future direction
• Work across the full stack including user-facing clients and CI/CD pipelines
