The position requires a hands-on approach in a specialized team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance, or a hands-on engineering environment
  • 2+ years of experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging automated test systems spanning electrical, mechanical, electronic, networking, and software domains
  • 2+ years of experience with production test station (ATE) hardware/software
  • 2+ years of experience with electrical test equipment, data acquisition, and control software
  • Experience using common electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
  • Experience writing, reading, and debugging software in Python, C, C#, or a similar language
  • 2+ years of experience with environmental testing, focusing on thermal and vacuum (TVAC) test processes
  • 2+ years of experience working with RF test systems, including calibration of RF test equipment
  • 4+ years of experience in hardware design, development, validation, and delivery of embedded hardware products
  • Experience with maintenance management or ticketing systems and preventive maintenance program execution
  • Experience with configuration management and change control in a regulated or high-reliability production environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first responder to technician escalations during production testing and troubleshoot various technical problems to minimize downtime.
  • Distinguish test-system faults from product faults and drive ambiguous failures to clear disposition with relevant teams.
  • Perform root cause and corrective action analysis on production test issues and implement systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the support ticket queue by triaging, prioritizing, resolving, and communicating status to production stakeholders.
  • Develop scripts and applications to automate redundant tasks and improve test stability.
  • Analyze rack downtime, failure, and calibration data to identify and drive availability improvements.
  • Define and implement solutions to optimize and automate environmental testing processes.
  • Work with test and design engineers to refine test requirements and methodologies.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
