Job description

The ML Engineer role within the Search Science Data Infrastructure (SSDI) team focuses on developing services and infrastructure that integrate machine learning, big data, and distributed systems. This position empowers various science teams across Amazon to implement machine learning at scale for model training and data quality monitoring. The engineer will manage the machine learning lifecycle and operations using AWS AI services and will build scalable infrastructure to process large volumes of data. The role is critical in enhancing Amazon's product search capabilities and ensuring a data-driven approach across multiple geographic regions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of services and infrastructure at the intersection of machine learning and big data.
  • Manage the machine learning lifecycle and operations using AWS AI services and distributed systems.
  • Build scalable data-intensive infrastructure that processes large amounts of logs and telemetry signals.
  • Collaborate with partners on data experimentation to enhance Amazon product search.
