Job description
Apple is seeking a creative and self-motivated Engineer to contribute to the design and performance of future OLED displays for Apple products. The team is at the forefront of innovative display technology, focusing on the optoelectronic functions of OLED pixels. This role requires collaboration with engineers and vendors to invent and design display components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic optoelectronics and a passion for advancing display technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in (Applied) Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or similar with 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of organic optoelectronics materials and devices.
- Solid understanding of organic optoelectronic device physics, optics, and electronics.
- Experience in coding in Matlab, Python, C++, C or similar.
- PhD in (Applied) Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or similar experience or Master's Degree.
- Experience with SPICE software packages such as Cadence, Synopsis, ALPS or similar.
- Experience with drift-diffusion models such as Setfos, Silvaco, or similar.
- Experience with building optoelectronics test equipment and measurement automation.
- Expertise in the electrical and optical design and validation of optoelectronic devices, particularly OLEDs.
- Knowledge and experience in active matrix flat panel displays, especially in display optics and electronics.
Responsibilities
- Design, characterize, and validate the performance of display prototypes.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, display vendors, and material vendors.
- Invent and design OLED display components.
- Utilize opto-electrical models and specialized measurements to support design efforts.
- Travel internationally as required for collaboration and project needs.
