The role involves working with the Answers, Knowledge & Information team at Apple to enhance the intelligence of Siri and other Apple products. This Applied ML team focuses on improving assistant response ranking and search technologies while managing a production service. Candidates will leverage advanced LLM and ML techniques to understand user queries and generate accurate answers. • 8+ years of industry-related experience in collaborative environments
• Experience utilizing PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX for deep learning model training and deployment
• Strong understanding of product requirements and ability to translate them into modeling and engineering tasks
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience in RAG, LLM Reasoning, and LLM Agent
• Proven track record of scaling and launching projects in complex organizations

• Leverage and improve upon the latest LLM and ML techniques to understand queries and rank user intents.
• Build models for search relevance ranking, query understanding, and summarization.
• Train and deploy models at scale using the latest advances in online inference optimization.
