Join Apple's Messages Services and Security team as an engineer focused on designing and ensuring the robustness of core delivery and security features for Messages. You will work closely with various partner teams and be at the forefront of Messages security, contributing to technologies like BlastDoor. • 6+ years of experience in the industry
• Strong object-oriented development and design skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technical environments
• Passion for modular, maintainable, testable code
• Experience with system concepts including multi-threaded processing, synchronization, and interprocess communication
• Proficiency in Swift and/or Obj-C
• Ability to reason about the security or robustness of application software
• Experience maintaining legacy code and backwards compatibility

• Design end-to-end protocols for innovative new Messages features
• Develop maintainable Swift frameworks to improve service reliability and security
• Build infrastructure for safe data handling to prevent zero-click attacks
• Create testable code to rigorously test changes and ensure consistent quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new user experiences
• Work on protocols that build iMessage, Messages via Satellite, and RCS
