Job description

This position is for a Principal Full Stack Engineer who will focus on cloud-native application design and development within an Agile environment. The role involves automating code integration through CI/CD practices and building scalable web applications using frameworks like Angular and J2EE. The engineer will also convert legacy systems to microservices architecture and enhance software engineering practices. The position requires collaboration with business units to translate initiatives into effective software solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing high-throughput, fault-tolerant, and highly concurrent batch processes.
  • Experience with Java, Kafka, AWS, and advanced portfolio optimization technologies within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Convert legacy monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture.
  • Define and implement application-level architecture.
  • Develop applications on complex projects and components for the division.
  • Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Advise on risk assessment and management strategies for projects.
  • Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve project and technology issues.
  • Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
  • Develop original and creative technical solutions for ongoing development efforts.
