Job description

This position involves performing quantitative research analysis focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. The role requires collaboration with analysts, portfolio managers, and stakeholders to enhance portfolio construction and risk analytics. The candidate will utilize programming skills in Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, and VBA to implement systematic ESG ratings and manage risk. The primary goal is to support the company's funds and research efforts through data-driven insights and financial modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Three years of experience as an AM Quantitative Analyst I or in a closely related occupation.
  • Experience performing alpha modeling, portfolio construction, and risk management research using Python.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field with no experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Implement quantitatively based equity alpha generation, portfolio construction, and risk management analytics.
  • Procure data and create quantitative factors and models to facilitate the research and portfolio construction process.
  • Conduct research on new factors and data sets.
  • Create models to facilitate the research and portfolio construction process.
  • Evaluate new risk models and develop screening tools.
  • Collect and conduct research on data for other quantitative analysts or portfolio managers.
  • Contribute to large scale initiatives with business partners across the enterprise.
  • Run portfolio optimizations and provide research to fund managers through portfolio analyses or other empirical studies.
  • Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions.
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs.
