Job description

The Ads Inventory Management & Forecasting team at Netflix is focused on developing and maintaining end-to-end inventory forecasting, underwriting, and simulation systems for advertising. This new team aims to build highly efficient and scalable distributed systems that can handle large volumes of ad data while ensuring a positive viewing experience for members. Engineers in this role will work closely with cross-functional teams to productionize machine learning models and optimization algorithms. The ultimate goal is to create unique value propositions in the rapidly growing Connected TV advertising space.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in building sophisticated ads forecasting systems involving machine learning models and high-performance ad server simulation.
  • Proven experience in handling large volumes of data with big data tools like Spark.
  • General understanding of the advertising marketplace and ad serving flow.
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications and proficiency in modern programming languages, preferably object-oriented.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive large and complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end inventory forecasting and simulation systems for advertising.
  • Build distributed systems that are efficient and scalable to handle large ad data.
  • Collaborate with the science team to productionize machine learning models and optimization algorithms.
  • Ensure that the advertising systems deliver a thoughtful viewing experience for members.
  • Contribute to the differentiation of Netflix's advertising offerings in the Connected TV space.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
