Job description
The role involves designing mechanical and optomechanical parts for advanced image sensor calibration systems within KLA's Global Products Group. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and collaboration with various engineering teams. The position emphasizes the complete design process, from concept to testing, ensuring adherence to specifications and manufacturability. Requirements
- Master's Level Degree or 0 years of work experience, or Bachelor's Level Degree or 1 year of work experience.
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals such as precision machine design, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
- Basic knowledge of optics, lasers, and sensors.
- Experience in detail drawing creation and application and interpretation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience in 3D solid/CAD modeling, preferably with Creo/Parametric.
- Experience in structural finite element analysis (FEA), preferably ANSYS Mechanical.
- Familiarity with engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and optomechanical parts and subsystems for advanced image sensor calibration systems.
- Drive and be responsible for the complete design process, including requirements, concept, design, testing, BOM structure, and scheduling.
- Perform calculations and computer simulations to verify functionality of parts and mechanisms.
- Work cross-functionally to implement design best practices into product design that meets requirements and specifications.
- Conduct various analyses, such as thermal, vibration, and FEA modeling, and create detailed drawings.
- Develop required supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures.
- Collaborate with other engineering groups to ensure flawless integration and subsystem tests.
