Job description

The System Hardware and Validation Technical Lead at Qualcomm will be part of the Data Center AI System Hardware and Validation Engineering team, focusing on developing innovative AI inference solutions for liquid-cooled data centers. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including SoC, software/firmware, and manufacturing, to ensure successful program execution from concept to production. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced environment, working alongside industry experts in AI infrastructure. The lead will manage requirements, schedules, and deliverables while driving cross-functional design reviews and program-level metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
  • Master’s degree in computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems or hardware engineering and technical product/program management.
  • Experience with rack-level systems and components.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, JIRA/Confluence, and other defect-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution for next-generation Qualcomm rack-scale designs within a matrixed organization.
  • Define and manage requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables in alignment with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Own rack-level integration plans across compute nodes, networking, storage, and power delivery.
  • Drive firmware/software/hardware co-design execution and align requirements with hardware schedules.
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews and readiness reviews, ensuring actions are closed to schedule.
  • Coordinate platform-level debug and instrumentation to improve failure analysis and observability.
  • Establish and run triage mechanisms for issue intake and drive issues to root cause and closure.
  • Define and track program-level KPIs and publish executive dashboards and program reviews.
  • Identify program risks, drive mitigation plans, and manage scope changes while communicating status to stakeholders.
