Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Resilience Water team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on the design and delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support communities across Texas. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to complex infrastructure challenges while developing technical and project leadership skills. This position offers opportunities for increased ownership and client-facing experience within a globally recognized leader in water engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field
  • PE License in Texas or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams to ensure high-quality, on-time, and profitable delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, Area Leaders, and Account Leaders to define project scope, develop fee estimates, and manage risk.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while upholding strong quality, safety, and technical excellence standards.
