Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager with Water/Wastewater experience to join their Water Division team in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on managing multimillion dollar construction projects while ensuring effective communication and coordination between the General Contractor, Owner, and Engineer. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge and experience in construction management to oversee project performance and compliance. Requirements
- Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, or a closely related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager with 2+ years of water/wastewater facilities experience or similar experience.
- Experience managing construction budgets and schedules.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional Project Management and/or Microsoft Project and the MS Office Suite.
- Construction-related credentials, such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor performance of contractors, overall site safety, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Observe and inspect wastewater pump station construction work performed by contractors.
- Prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports.
- Participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.
- Maintain quality assurance requirements and monitor code compliance issues.
- Regularly attend and participate in construction meetings and project site coordination meetings.
- Review and process contractor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Utilize knowledge of cost trends, change management, claims, and other construction-related matters to ensure project success.
