Arcadis is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join their Construction Management team, focusing on municipal infrastructure, water, wastewater, and capital improvement projects in the New York City and Lower Hudson Valley region. This role involves leading on-site construction oversight and managing field staff while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Senior Resident Engineer will serve as the primary liaison between contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality in delivering successful project outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New York.
• 10 years of experience serving as a Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, or in a similar construction management leadership role on large capital improvement projects.

• Lead day-to-day construction management and resident engineering activities for complex water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the primary liaison between contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, and design teams throughout project execution.
• Review construction plans, specifications, RFIs, shop drawings, and proposed design changes to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage and mentor construction management field staff, providing oversight of inspections, project documentation, reporting, and contract administration activities.
• Oversee daily inspection reporting, recordkeeping, correspondence, and preparation of project deliverables in accordance with client requirements.
• Administer construction contracts, including review and negotiation of change orders, contractor payment applications, and field directives.
• Monitor contractor performance, safety compliance, quality, schedule adherence, and overall project execution, proactively addressing issues to maintain project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, permits, environmental requirements, and agency standards while fostering a strong safety culture across project teams.
