Job description

The Quantum Developer Relations Lead at IBM Research is responsible for driving the adoption of IBM Quantum technologies within the global developer community. This role involves designing educational programs, representing IBM Quantum at various events, and creating technical assets to enhance developer engagement. The position requires collaboration with product management and engineering teams to improve the developer experience and address feedback. The lead will also cultivate relationships with academic institutions and industry leaders to expand the quantum ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Quantum Information Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Technical Education, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of quantum computing and experience with quantum software development using Qiskit or comparable frameworks.
  • Excellent public speaking and technical storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy for growing adoption of IBM Quantum technologies across the global developer ecosystem.
  • Design programs that help developers become productive quickly and create long-term engagement.
  • Represent IBM Quantum through technical talks, workshops, and community events.
  • Measure adoption and continuously improve the developer journey by collecting and synthesizing developer feedback.
  • Build and strengthen one of the world's leading quantum developer communities through strategic partnerships.
