Tesla Infrastructure Engineering is seeking a Process Design Engineer to support the design of water treatment systems for various facilities including automotive factories and data centers. The role focuses on creating detailed designs for pure water, ultrapure water, and wastewater treatment processes. The Process Design team aims to innovate and enhance manufacturing processes through advanced engineering solutions. This position involves collaboration with engineering teams and participation in field construction and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in process design, process improvement, or operations of water systems
- Experience with industrial wastewater treatment, high purity water, and various chemical systems
- Knowledge of North American codes, standards, and regulations
- Ability to lead or participate in process hazard evaluations
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Aspen Plus, and related software
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering fundamentals and process engineering tools to solve technical problems
- Contribute to front-end and detailed process designs for complex projects
- Provide technical expertise to the engineering and design team
- Participate in commercial contracting activities and bid analysis
- Serve as the point of contact for technical questions during field construction
- Review process design work performed by others on the Process Team
- Provide process engineering support to facilities operations and manufacturing teams
