The Sensing Hardware Team is looking for a hardware engineer with expertise in motion sensing and at least 3 years of industry experience. This role focuses on developing motion sensing technologies for full-self driving, vehicle control, and safety features. The engineer will be responsible for the performance of the sensing system throughout its life cycle and will manage multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure successful product development and deployment.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Deep understanding of motion sensing, sensor physics, and integration challenges.
• Fundamental knowledge of circuit design, analog analysis, and statistics.
• Hands-on experience in system-level design, architecture, characterization, and validation.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB, with experience in physical and circuit simulation tools being a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Generate specifications by distilling sensor product requirements into actionable engineering discussions.
• Lead cross-functional sensor design discussions with various teams.
• Translate sensor design discussions into architecture and design documents.
• Collaborate with board designers to review schematics and guide layout.
• Work with the supply chain team to define the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Support early sensor prototype development to mitigate risks.
• Generate and execute motion sensing validation plans.
• Define manufacturing processes and test coverage for high-volume production.
• Establish feature readiness milestones and qualification criteria.
• Monitor feature and sensing performance and investigate improvement opportunities.
