As a DFX Engineer at Meta, you will play a crucial role in advancing manufacturing processes for Reality Labs products, including Virtual Reality and Smart Glasses. You will collaborate with various teams to tackle manufacturing challenges through innovative design interventions and process improvements. Your work will ensure that Meta's products are scalable, cost-effective, and meet high-quality standards. This position involves both technical leadership and hands-on problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing, or process engineering
• Experience with CAD software, preferably NX
• Experience in automation and machine design for high precision manufacturing

• Provide technical leadership and coaching on manufacturing best practices
• Conduct detailed CAD reviews to identify manufacturing pain points and design alternatives
• Develop and qualify manufacturing processes and equipment for final assembly, packaging lines, and optical module automation
• Create and approve manufacturing documentation including process flows, SOPs, qualification packages, and fixture/equipment designs
• Create Engineering Requirements Specification (ERS) documents and review/approve all proposals from vendors
• Drive New Technology Introduction (NTI) initiatives
• Support factory operations by troubleshooting assembly line issues, conducting failure analysis, and driving process improvements
• Collaborate with internal partners and external contract manufacturers and suppliers
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed
