Tesla is looking for a Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and improve intelligent automation systems in manufacturing facilities. This role involves working at the intersection of software, hardware, and data to create supervisory applications and automation platforms. The engineer will have a significant impact on factory uptime, throughput, and quality. The position requires collaboration with various teams and the ability to manage complex technical programs.

• Degree in Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in automation, systems, or controls/equipment engineering on electromechanical systems
• Proven experience building and deploying Ignition Perspective module SCADA / HMI applications
• Hands-on experience with AGV / AMR commissioning and fleet management
• Demonstrated ability to train and deploy computer vision models for industrial inspection
• Familiarity with ASRS and conveyor control architectures
• Experience with Linux server administration and shell scripting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with vision system hardware and integration of camera feeds into software pipelines

• Architect and develop full-stack HMI / SCADA applications for supervisory control and real-time data visualization
• Lead AGV / AMR system integration, commissioning, and lifecycle support
• Design and deploy vision-based inspection and perception pipelines using deep-learning frameworks
• Build and maintain containerized microservices to host SCADA servers and data pipelines
• Develop organized, well-documented full-stack web applications integrated with Tesla SSO and third-party systems
• Create and maintain SQL databases and reporting infrastructure
• Define and enforce software engineering best practices including version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Lead system design reviews and serve as the technical liaison between production, maintenance, IT, and vendors
• Establish test plans, risk assessments, and validation protocols prior to deployment
• Develop training programs and technical documentation for operators and maintenance staff
