Meta Robotics Studio is seeking a System Integration and Test Electrical Engineer to play a crucial role in the integration, validation, and coordination of complex robotic electrical systems. This position involves designing and maintaining modular test platforms for continuous integration and firmware validation. The engineer will oversee the electrical integration lifecycle, bridging hardware design and power distribution across evolving robot generations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects in robotics and artificial intelligence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a proven track record in developing, integrating, and testing complex electromechanical or robotic systems.
- Experience in system-level electrical integration including board bring-up, power sequencing, and signal integrity debugging.
- Experience with communication bus protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
- Proficiency in electrical design verification using standard test and measurement equipment.
- Experience designing or specifying cable harnesses and power distribution systems for multi-board assemblies.
- Experience developing and executing hardware test plans and integration procedures.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Safety, and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design and build modular test platforms that replicate robot subsystems optimized for automated testing.
- Lead electrical system integration and board bring-up across various components and communication buses.
- Define and execute hardware integration test plans for system-level validation.
- Design custom printed circuit board assemblies to enhance test platform functionality.
- Document cable harness architectures and wiring schematics for system connectivity.
- Perform root cause analysis and debugging of multidisciplinary issues using standard instrumentation.
- Develop and maintain test procedures and documentation packages for vendor handoff.
- Manage vendor relationships for design, fabrication, and assembly of test platforms.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, and design engineering teams to ensure accurate representation of robot behavior.
Benefits
- Employees at Meta are often offered comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision coverage, mental-health resources, family planning support (fertility, adoption, surrogacy), and caregiving programs. Financial benefits typically include a competitive retirement plan, equity awards, life insurance, and access to financial coaching and legal support. Time-off benefits commonly feature generous PTO and holidays, unlimited sick time, various paid leaves, flexible “Global Travel Days,” and a 30-day paid break every five years.
