This role involves collaboration with various teams to address power consumption challenges and improve design methodologies. You will work with EDA tools and contribute to defining the infrastructure for next-generation chips. Your expertise will help shape how power is managed throughout the ASIC development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in ASIC design or physical design with a focus on power analysis, optimization, or signoff.
  • Experience developing or maintaining EDA flows for power analysis using tools such as Synopsys PrimePower or Cadence Voltus.
  • Experience with power intent specification languages such as UPF or CPF.
  • Experience scripting in Python, Tcl, or shell for EDA infrastructure workflows.
  • Experience collaborating across RTL design, physical design, and verification disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain power analysis flows including dynamic and static power estimation.
  • Define and implement power methodology guidelines for RTL, synthesis, and physical design stages.
  • Collaborate with RTL design, physical design, and verification teams to resolve power hotspots.
  • Build and optimize EDA infrastructure scripts and automation frameworks.
  • Evaluate and integrate EDA tools into the power analysis flow.
  • Develop power intent specifications using UPF or CPF.
  • Establish power budgets and track power metrics across design milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement of power closure methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance on power analysis best practices.
  • Partner with EDA tool vendors to evaluate new capabilities.

Benefits

  • Employees at Meta are often offered comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision coverage, mental-health resources, family planning support (fertility, adoption, surrogacy), and caregiving programs. Financial benefits typically include a competitive retirement plan, equity awards, life insurance, and access to financial coaching and legal support. Time-off benefits commonly feature generous PTO and holidays, unlimited sick time, various paid leaves, flexible “Global Travel Days,” and a 30-day paid break every five years.
